Meet Seble from Switzerland

So, what made you want to come to England to study English?
England is near Switzerland and Australia is a bit far away, so it is more convenient for me.  It is better to learn a language in the country of origin, because you get more practice, so England is a good choice.
I want to become a primary school teacher, so I needed to take the Cambridge Advanced Exam and Celc offered an exam preparation course for this.  It was a good course and you feel really prepared and confident for the exam.

Was England as you expected?
England was as I expected it to be, although the weather was better than I thought it would be.  The food was as I had heard; the English eat a lot of potatoes!

How was your experience of living with an English family?
My experience was positive, because my host family were kind and caring and also whenever I had a question they were very helpful.

What’s the most memorable moment of your time here in England?
London; it is a really diverse city with people from all over the world.  I went to see The Lion King musical on the West End and it was unbelievable!  I really enjoyed it.  I will definitely visit again.  You won’t be bored here because there are many things, even for free.

Is there anything you’d like to warn other students who are thinking of coming to England about?
It isn’t cold here because of the temperature; it is cold because of the wind, so bring your warm clothes.  It also easy to get lost because English houses all look the same.  Also, I was here for 3 months and it would have been good to get an English SIM card for my phone.
