a) There is a non-returnable enrolment fee of fifty-five pounds (£55), payable on application. This payment also covers the cost of the first set of course materials; it is not part of the fees and should not be deducted when payment is made.
b) Full fees, should, if possible, be paid at least 4 weeks before the start of courses.
c) Fees are not normally refundable. We therefore advise you to take out medical, travel and cancellation insurance.* Fees are ONLY refundable:
- If the Centre is unable to offer you a place on a course.
- In exceptional circumstances. Any refund will be at the discretion of the directors of the school. There will be a charge of £200.
- Visa refusal. In the event of visa refusal, we will refund your course fees less a charge of £200. In such a case, you must present the original document from the Visa Clearance Officer, giving the reasons for the refusal. You must inform the school at least two weeks before the start of your course.
d) You must pay for any damage you cause, either to the school premises or to your accommodation. The school may terminate a student's course in the case of serious misconduct or repeated absence without good reason.
e) All CELC courses are undertaken at the student's own risk. The Christian English Language Centre cannot be held liable for damage or accident to students' persons or property. Students are strongly advised to take out personal insurance before attending courses.
f) The school reserves the right to cancel or change the dates, times, fees or any other details relating to courses at its discretion.
g) If you have a complaint, please talk to one of the school directors who will listen and take any necessary action. You are protected by the school's obligations as a British Council accredited member of English UK.
h) The Centre may offer a reduction to Missionary Candidates and full-time Christian workers. There is a minimum study period of 4 weeks. A reference from your church or mission organisation will be required before a reduction is considered.
